Summary by Iris Beltran:
I really enjoyed this Career Forum. We picked up a lot of good career tips. Sometimes, as a college student, it's hard to imagine what life would be like without the everyday college routine. So it helps to hear someone else's point of view, especially from one that has been in the career field for awhile. And it's always good to learn from someone else's experiences, to be better prepared in whatever life throws at you. One of the main tips that our speakers stressed to us was to have good communication and networking skills. And in any career, one can never be too sure of what could happen, so it helps to know the right people to help you bounce back from obstacles.
As far as the organization of this event, I believe it went pretty smoothly, considering everything that was going on at the time. Our advertising went well, and we had a really good turn out, and both speakers and students enjoyed themselves. The only difference I would suggest for future forums would be to try not to schedule so many events so close to each other in one day.
