Target audience: 5th-8th Graders, Parents and Teachers

11am-1pm Street Fair

20-30 tables set-up with hands-on booths and exhibits (Student societies and ExxonMobil)

Registration table

Lunch (Chartwells must serve lunch)

Space requirement - a quad, a small gym, a multi-purpose room

McDonald Gym has been reserved 1pm-2pm Keynote Speaker

Sally Ride Science will provide the keynote

Kids usually sit on the floor, informal

Space requirement -auditorium, theater, large classroom

McDonald Gym has been reserved 2pm-3:45pm Workshops

Students choose 2 workshops to attend at 45 minutes each

Sally Ride Science will provide the speakers, or Lamar may provide some/all

Space requirement- 25 classrooms that can hold about 25-30 people

Various Classrooms will be used on campus

(Social and Behavioral Science, Geology and Archer Bldgs.)

We plan on using the McDonald Gym/Bleachers and Campus Bldgs.

Plan on using the floor of the McDonald Gym for the booth set-up and hands on exhibits. The bleachers will be out and used for the keynote speaker. The bleachers will hold about 450 people when full, but most of the students can sit on the floor. Serving Food - CHARTWELLS Breakout Rooms - Social and Behavioral Science, Geology and Archer Bldgs.
